There may be divisiveness amongst the Republicans but the Democrats can't even take credit for DADT and extending unemployment b/c they are too busy beating up on the President.
I am so tired of the hatefulness......Ashleigh Burroughshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05790757220725900941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2200669326669138986.post-17667097812321791962010-12-24T09:53:08.388-05:002010-12-24T09:53:08.388-05:00Nance, That's an interesting point about thawi...Nance, That's an interesting point about thawing the frozen corporate and banking funds. Yes.
"Am I angry with the Democrats for failing to deal with this issue when they had the votes? Yes.
Am I angry with all those Democratic voters who did not bother to vote in November? Yes.

Am I ready to pull the Obama /Biden sticker off our car? Not yet."

I vote Yes, too.

And this niggles at me: remember when Mr. Obama met with the corporate heads on Dec. 16th? Perhaps that meeting was more substantive than the public was lead to believe. In other words, maybe the President knew something we didn't--I imagine that does happen occasionally, after all--something more specific about thawing the frozen corporate and banking funds. A yes-of-course-we-have-the-Republicans-in-our-back-pockets, a no-tax-deal, no-jobs-period kind of understanding.

And maybe I'm making things up. So often, we are left to put words into the President's mouth; that's my biggest beef.

He's ours. He's got the pulpit for two more years. Place more hope on our best hope? Imagine what he could have done were Republicans interested in actually working for the country instead of working to prevent anything he proposes. And we did get the repeal of DADT. Hope we also get START, since it is my understanding that it was part of the "compromise" with the Republicans. Immigration is still a mess, but it's been a mess for a long time. I'm trying to block out thoughts of how much the rich were given and focus on what others got. I agree with your list of those you are angry with. I still think Obama is doing the best he can with what he's got to work with.

FranFranhttp://www.gmail.comnoreply@blogger.com
